MANIFESTO

What’s wrong with Canadian film?

Collective Friction is determined to find out. We are striving to improve the system in which Canadians go about making movies. In a country with an abundance of talent we haven’t even begun to tap our potential.

These are our goals:

1.  To tell personal and important stories from our heart that evoke reaction.

2.  To nurture a community that is critical and supportive.

3.  To beware of convention and not be lured by current repetitive and mainstream dogma.

4.  To produce original films of quality and substance.

5. To promote, market and push our films forward to a new and wider audience.

Join us on our journey.
